Our community embraces children through education, sports and family activities. Located in the Uptown JCC, the JCC Nursery school has acted as a pillar of early childhood education in New Orleans for over half-a-century. Outside of the Nursery school, pre-school age children can participate in Early Childhood Enrichment classes, sports programs, family activities, summer camps and more.
Finding the right class for your child poses dilemmas for every parent. Do you want your toddler to be the oldest in his or her class? What does it mean to be the youngest among a group of Pre-K students? Do boys and girls face different hurdles? Should a child attend school five days a week? No test can answer those questions. But the experienced, professional teachers of the JCC Nursery School can help smooth the path for children of different abilities and temperaments.
The JCC keeps teacher-student ratios small, matching those of accredited schools nationwide. With tailored classroom activities to meet the social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs of individual children, the JCC offers a range of attendance options based on age, with two-, three-, and five-day-a-week programs.
