EARLY CHILDHOOD MINI CAMPS


During the school year, the nursery school schedules mini camps to coincide with holidays and special days off. Offering full days of supervised activities — from art and story time to sports and games, flexible enrollment allows members to sign up by the day, the week, or for an entire program. JCC membership and enrollment in the JCC Nursery School and Pre-K is required. Before and After Care are available for all mini camps.

Open only to 2017-2018 JCC Nursery School students and 2018 campers

Limited Space Available.  Submit Registration Form to the Children's Desk.

August 30 - July 10

Monday - Friday

9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Ages: 1 to 5

$45 per day / $215 per week members only

 

BALLET AND CREATIVE MOVEMENT SPECIALTY CAMP

Open only to 2018 Summer Day Campers

July 30 - August 3

Monday - Friday

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM* (Class ends at 11:15 AM on Wednesday, August 1)

Ages: 4 to 6

Registration is for the entire week only. Tap shoes are optional. 

$170 for entire week & *Extended Care available from 12:00 - 3:00 PM for $80 per week

EARLY CHILDHOOD MINI CAMP BEFORE and AFTER CARE
Enrollment in extended care is required for campers who arrive before 9:00 AM and/or are picked up after 3:00 PM.

BEFORE CARE  7:30 - 9:00 AM / $9 day
AFTER CARE  3:00 - 5:30 PM / $15 day

Alon Shaya Lead 2018 Kindness March

New Orleans JCC campers kicked off summer 2018 by spreading kindness at the second annual Kindness March, held June 7 at the Uptown JCC. Famed chef Alon Shaya and his wife Emily, along with the New Creations Brass Band, led the march around the JCC’s historic building on St. Charles Avenue.

JCC Dedicates New Expansion

It was "A Sweet Celebration in Song" on May 24 as the JCC dedicated its new $9 million dollar expansion.  Featuring a performance by Azi Schwartz, the internationally recognized cantor from the Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City, the event brought the community together to celebrate the new addition to the Uptown JCC and recognized and honored the lead donors who made the expansion possible.

Camp matters. It makes a difference. Camp allows children, youth, and adults to form a special community where great things happen. In an environment created just for them, children learn real life skills, develop self-esteem, and build their own sense of independence.
