Uptown Specialty Classes


TRX

TRX Suspension training uses your own body weight for resistance. TRX certified trainers teach you to engage your core and work all muscle groups during each class. All levels welcome.

OUTDOOR BOOT CAMP WITH TORI

Ready to get in shape and need a push to do it?  Join Tori for a boot camp that will combine interval cardio and strength training drills packed with fun and energizing activities designed to help you reach your fitness goals.   No class April 15.

SUNRISE TRX BOOT CAMP 

Start your day strong with Lauren’s Sunrise TRX Boot Camp.  Burn mega calories as you challenge your muscles and strengthen your core using TRX straps to perform resistance training exercises.  This is an outdoor workout; a bottle of water is required.

Do you wish you had better balance? Are you afraid of falling?  In this two hour workshop, learn specially designed exercises to  improve balance, physical condition, posture and core strength.  You will be amazed by how tall and strong you feel.

CYCLING 101

An introductory class especially designed for beginner riders, Cycling 101 covers everything a beginner needs to know about indoor cycling classes: proper bike setup, riding techniques, breathing, bike handles positions, riding positions, and more.  Class includes a short, easy ride. Great for 1st timers!

SUMMER IN ISRAEL FITNESS CHALLENGE

Get active at the JCC this summer and mark your workouts on a map of Israel.  Take this FREE 12-week fitness challenge by exercising at JCC three days a week.  Move from one destination on the map to the next as your weekly activities are recorded.

WOMEN ON WEIGHTS

In this one day class, women learn the right amount of weight to use when lifting to tone and/or strengthen their muscles without bulking up.  Safe lifting techniques are also taught.
