BODY BLAST
A full-body strength class, Body Blast focuses on bringing every muscle in the body to fatigue, which is the key to gaining lean body mass and burning fat. You will learn safe and efficient ways to work your muscles while using the bar, dumbbells, and body weight for resistance.

KRAV MAGA
The goal of Krav Maga is to teach anyone how to survive and be a winner, both on the street and in life. Used by the Israeli Defense Forces, Krav Maga teaches you how to debilitate your opponent immediately irrespective of his size, training background or experience level. You’ll learn to defeat attackers (even multiple attackers) armed with knives, guns, bottles, sticks, baseball bats, etc. Most importantly, you’ll see immediate results while also getting a great workout.

YOGA FOR HEALTHY BONES
Study after study has found that doing weight-bearing exercise is a key to maintaining healthy bone density throughout life and especially as we age. In this workshop, we will practice yoga postures which use our own body weight to help strengthen our bones. We will incorporate gentle twists to stimulate the vertebrae and discs of the spine, and close with relaxation and yoga nidra. All bodies, all ages, all levels of yoga experience are welcome.

JUNE

YOGA FOR BALANCE AND CORE STRENGTH
When our core is strong, we feel a sense of balance and ease in all our movements. When our core is weak, we are prone to injuries and pain in the low back. Together in this workshop, we will use yoga postures to develop our core strength. We will connect to our sense of power and stability, and then gently move into poses that develop balance. All levels welcome.

LOSE IT
Need help losing those extra pounds? Take this 10-week weight loss challenge and get the support you need to make lifestyle changes that will help you reach your goals. The program focuses on healthy eating and exercise. It requires 60 minutes of activity per week and includes weekly sessions with Marci Leach, who will cover topics on goal setting, support systems, motivation, and more.

Kettle Bell Training works your entire body, offering an intense workout with a wide variety of benefits. Look for improvements in your overall strength and flexibility while increasing aerobic conditioning and developing your core. A trained kettle bell instructor will lead you through swings, squats, lunges, Russian twists, halos and much more.

SUMMER IN ISRAEL FITNESS CHALLENGE
Get active at the JCC this summer and mark your workouts on a map of Israel. Take this FREE 12-week fitness challenge by exercising at JCC three days a week. Move from one destination on the map to the next as your weekly activities are recorded.

TRY-A-THON
Have you ever wanted to try Zumba, Tone Up, Cycling, Kickboxing, Yoga, or TRX? Come sample a variety of these classes at our Try-A-Thon. Rotate through up to five 15-20 minute classes in two hours. Must register - spaces are limited.
