Goldring Fitness Center
At 5,600 square feet, our fitness center provides plenty of space — even at peak hours. Staff constantly updates equipment and is trained to help members get the maximum benefit from workouts. The JCC also offers a full range of classes throughout the day, including yoga, Pilates and other fitness approaches. For those who prefer independent workouts, we have a complete weight room, indoor cycling, treadmills and much more. Members get access to our swimming pool and gymnasium.
Weight Room/Cardiovascular Center
With more than 3,000 square feet of floor space, the Goldring Fitness Center weight room and cardiovascular center can comfortably accommodate members who want the full range of strength, flexibility, cardio and rehabilitation training equipment. The JCC staff constantly updates the machines, drawing on the experience of staff and members to find the best workout tools from top manufacturers. Mini-lockers are available to secure valuables.
Aerobic & Indoor Cycling Studio
The 2,000 square foot aerobic studio has a suspended wood floor, state-of-the-art music system and wireless microphone.
Circuit Training Room
Designed to provide members with a balanced, 30-minute workout, the 600 square foot circuit training room features equipment that builds strength while increasing cardiovascular fitness. This self-directed program can be tailored for all ages.
Pilates Reformer & Fit Testing (Room 212)
Allegra Pilates reformers are available for private and semi-private sessions. This room also houses JCC fitness testing equipment.
Swimming Pool (Open seasonally)
The JCC outdoor pool comfortably accommodates adult lap swimmers, divers, youth classes, swim teams and members who just want to relax in the water. It consists of six, 25-yard lanes; a recreation area; and a diving area with two boards. A separate wading pool is available for toddlers and preschool children.
The air-conditioned gymnasium contains a full-size court for basketball or volleyball and can be sub-divided for other games.
Back Field/Batting Cage
Our grassy back field resounds with the crack of bats, the thud of well-kicked balls and the cheers of players engaged in year-round league sports that include soccer, flag football and softball. A batting cage is available for those seeking to hone their baseball and softball skills.
Covered Play Area
Adjacent to the pool and back field, this covered area is used for games, parties and picnics.
Kohlmann Health Spa
The Kohlmann Health Spas for men and women provide a relaxing atmosphere before and after a workout. Both spas include a steam room, sauna, and Jacuzzi, plus private massage rooms, dressing rooms, and shower facilities. Facials, waxing and other spa services are also available by appointment. Towels and other amenities are provided to Gold members. Daily lockers and locks are available at no cost. Annual locker rental is available for a fee.
Private massage rooms are located in each Spa and a co-ed massage room is located near the aerobic studio. Certified massage therapists are trained in a variety of approaches, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, and Reflexology.
Men’s & Women’s Family Locker Rooms
Located beside the pool and gymnasium, the locker rooms include separate bathrooms, showers and lockers for the whole family. Mini-lockers are available to secure valuables.
The JCC provides babysitting services for adults who are using the fitness center. This popular service is by appointment and a modest fee is charged.
Levy Rosenblum Children's Center
The Children's Center includes the Marjorie Bissinger Nursery School Wing, Marks Park, Second Home children's after care, a game room, Children's Camp, and club rooms.
Marjorie Bissinger Nursery School Wing
The JCC operates one of the area’s oldest and most respected Class A licensed nursery schools in nine lively classrooms, most with direct access to outdoor play areas. Enrichment classes often make use of the studios and rehearsal areas within the JCC.
Marks Park Playground
Tailored for children of different ages, the spacious, secured playground includes age-appropriate equipment and supervision for Nursery School students and JCC campers.
Come hang out with Garrett Moore (Teen Director) on Sunday afternoons in the Game Room! Have time to chillax or play games in a supervised, kid-friendly space. Parents of children ages 7-10 must remain on the premises while children are in the Game Room. When there is no attendant, the Game Room is closed for all ages. Begins January 10 (ongoing)

Donald R. Mintz Auditorium
The 3,888 square foot main auditorium is used for concerts, lectures, plays and other activities.
Norma and Joseph O. Grant Board Room
This small, multi-purpose auditorium is used for JCC board meetings, lectures, luncheons and other activities.
Arts & Crafts Studio/Photo Dark Room
This multi-purpose art studio includes a kiln and a fully equipped dark room for photographers.
Mirrored walls, ballet bars and audio equipment make these two rooms perfect for group exercise classes, yoga, and Pilates workouts and our wide-ranging dance instruction programs for children and adults. Aspiring dancers can study ballet, tap, belly dancing and other approaches.
Judaic literature and reference works form the core of the JCC browsing library. Members check in at the front reception desk.
Older Adult Lounge and Activity Room
This cheery, multi-purpose lounge provides a comfortable setting for programs directed toward older adults.
JCC Snack Area (Nosh)
Situated overlooking the pool, this indoor area has a microwave oven, vending service and other conveniences for diners. Green to Go offers delicious and healthy breakfast and lunch items weekdays from 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM.
The JCC maintains a professional-grade kosher kitchen to prepare food for JCC luncheons and other group events.

New Orleans JCC campers kicked off summer 2018 by spreading kindness at the second annual Kindness March, held June 7 at the Uptown JCC. Famed chef Alon Shaya and his wife Emily, along with the New Creations Brass Band, led the march around the JCC’s historic building on St. Charles Avenue....
It was "A Sweet Celebration in Song" on May 24 as the JCC dedicated its new $9 million dollar expansion.
