Membership Benefits

Reciprocity | Your J membership is honored at most JCC’s anywhere in the United States and Canada? Click here to find a JCC. Please check with the JCC that you plan to visit for their specific policy.

Membership Change Request

Any change to an account must be requested by the main member. For questions or changes, contact Julie Ward (Uptown) or  (Metairie).

Update billing information

To make changes to your credit card or billing information - please click here to login to our online services. For questions about your bill, contact Corinne Hebert (Uptown) or  (Metairie).

Adding a child member

If you already have a family membership and wish to add a child member, please provide the following information (written or email) to the membership department at your main facility:

  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Phone
  • Email
  • Emergency Contact Name
  • Emergency Contact Phone
  • Relationship to Main Member
  • School
  • Jewish/Non-Jewish

Category Change

A confirmation of payment information as well as written approval to charge the card on file is required to process any category changes. Complete a category change form at the JCC or email your request to the membership department at your main facility. If requesting via email, please provide your current category and your desired category. Please indicate the name of any members you wish to remove from your account and provide the following information for sub-members you wish to add:

  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Phone
  • Email
  • Emergency Contact Name
  • Emergency Contact Phone
  • Relationship to Main Member
  • School or Occupation
  • Jewish/Non-Jewish

Membership Freeze

We offer the option to freeze your membership for up to 3 months once per year for personal reasons, or more than 3 months for medical reasons with a physician's note. You must provide notice (written or email) by the 10th of the month you wish to freeze. During the freeze period, you will be assessed a $10 freeze fee for each month your membership is frozen. At the conclusion of the freeze period, your membership will automatically renew and you will be drafted your full membership fee. When requesting a freeze, please indicate how many months you wish to freeze your membership.

Cancellation of Membership

Membership is a minimum of one month plus 30 days to cancel. To cancel a membership, provide 30 days notice (written or email) prior to the 15th of the month you wish to cancel. For example, if you want to cancel as of June 15, written cancellation must be received by May 15. If you wish to rejoin in the future, you will be required to pay a $75 rejoin fee.

Guest Policies

The JCC is delighted to welcome guests of current members for a nominal fee. Only those people accompanied by a JCC member at all times are eligible for guest privileges. These privileges will be extended to the same guest only 3 times a year. Click here for additional details and fees.

This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for www.nojcc.org. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website. It will notify you of the following:

  1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to ship an order.

Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

Your Access to and Control Over Information 
You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.

Security 
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

October marks the one year anniversary for the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust Dance for Parkinson’s Program at the New Orleans JCC. This award-winning program takes place every Wednesday with instruction from the New Orleans Ballet Association.

We love to celebrate here at the JCC, and we also look for any opportunity to be creative. Join us for a coloring break in The Nosh of the Uptown JCC for National Coloring Book Day on August 2.
