Metairie Mini Camps

During the school year and before and after JCC Summer Camp, the JCC offers Mini Camps for both our preschool aged children and youth and teens to coincide with holidays and special days off.

Flexible enrollment allows members to sign up by the day or the week.  JCC membership is required to enroll your child in camp. Month to month memberships are available.  Learn more about membership.

Camp hours are 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Before and After Care available.

Thanksgiving

TRIP CAMP

Grades: entering K to 5
Be thankful that the JCC has a mini camp Monday - Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Go on trips, play games and sports, make crafts, hang out with friends, and meet some new buddies at the Center. Wear tennis shoes and bring a lunch everyday.

Winter

PRESCHOOL MINI CAMP

Ages: 3 to 5
Campers will participate in art, sports, games and more. Please bring a nap mat, lunch, and a change of clothes every day. Campers must be potty trained.

TRIP CAMP  

Grades: K to 5
Campers will go on field trips every morning and spend lunch and the afternoon at the Center. It’s a great opportunity to hang out with friends from camp and meet some new buddies. No camp on December 25 or January 1.

Mardi Gras

TRIP CAMP

Grades: K to 5
Looking for something to do now that Mardi Gras is over? Come play at the J! We’re going to have lots of fun playing games and sports, making springtime crafts, hanging out with friends, and meeting new buddies at the Center. Wear tennis shoes and bring a lunch every day.

Start of Summer

Campers will participate in art, sports, games, swimming, and more. Please bring a nap mat, lunch, bathing suit, towel, and a change of clothes every day. Campers must be potty trained. Please bring a lunch and wear sneakers.

TRIP CAMP

Grades: Entering K to 5
Enjoy a field trip in the morning and swimming and games in the afternoon. Bring a bagged lunch, swimwear and closed toed shoes so you can take part in all of the fun. No money or electronics, please.

AQUATICS MINI CAMP

Grades: Entering 1 to 6
Work on skills during instructional swim, participate in water activities, and end the day with free swim. Dry land activities are also included. Must be able to swim independently and must be potty trained.

Dance for Parkinsonís Celebrates One Year

October marks the one year anniversary for the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust Dance for Parkinson’s Program at the New Orleans JCC. This award-winning program takes place every Wednesday with instruction from the New Orleans Ballet Association.

We love to celebrate here at the JCC, and we also look for any opportunity to be creative. Join us for a coloring break in The Nosh of the Uptown JCC for National Coloring Book Day on August 2.
