Sock Hops

JCC is the place to be on Saturday nights for young dancers in grades 5, 6 and 7! Kids from all over the community come to the  Uptown JCC  for our monthly Sock Hops. Each dance features a live DJ and a snack bar stocked with soda, candy, pickles, and popcorn for sale.

Sock Hop Details

Location: Uptown JCC - 5342 St. Charles Avenue
Time: 7:30 - 10:00* PM (Doors open at 7:00 PM)  *NOTE NEW END TIME
Grades: 5, 6, and 7

Purchasing Tickets in Advance

Advanced sale tickets: $10 member/$14 non-member (Cash, Check, Amex, Visa and Mastercard accepted)

Advanced tickets may be purchased during regular business hours at both the Uptown and Metairie campuses. If purchasing the day of the event, tickets will be available at the Uptown campus from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM at the Fitness Desk, which can be accessed through the Leontine Street entrance. (cash, check, amex, visa and mastercard accepted)

At the door price: $10 member/$15 non-member (Cash, Check, Amex, Visa and Mastercard accepted)

*In the event of a sold out dance, JCC Members will not be turned away at the door. Non-members are encouraged to purchase tickets prior to the dance.

Dance for Parkinsonís Celebrates One Year

October marks the one year anniversary for the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust Dance for Parkinson’s Program at the New Orleans JCC. This award-winning program takes place every Wednesday with instruction from the New Orleans Ballet Association.

We love to celebrate here at the JCC, and we also look for any opportunity to be creative. Join us for a coloring break in The Nosh of the Uptown JCC for National Coloring Book Day on August 2.
