Campers swim and splash in the outdoor pool, enjoy sports, drama, music, art, and celebrate Shabbat with song and dance. Color wars, field trips, themes-of-the-week and extra special performances also contribute to a memorable summer at the JCC. Offered at both the Uptown and Metairie locations.

Maccabee campers participate in the full scope of JCC Day Camp activities, including field trips. American Red Cross instructional swim lessons, along with sports, music, arts and crafts, and drama are just a few of the exciting activities awaiting your child.

In addition to the regular camp schedule and American Red Cross swim lessons, Sabra campers have the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of daily electives such as dance, cooking, dodgeball and more. Weekly field trips and a fun filled overnight at the JCC ensure your Sabra camper will make memories every day.
Grades: Entering 4 and 5

Zion campers serve as role models for the younger campers as well as their peers. American Red Cross swimming, sports, games, art and drama set the stage for a magnificent summer of excitement and adventure. Weekly field trips enhance the camp experience. In addition, Zion campers enjoy an overnight and a special field trip to Blue Bayou Water Park.
We love to celebrate here at the JCC, and we also look for any opportunity to be creative. Join us for a coloring break in The Nosh of the Uptown JCC for National Coloring Book Day on August 2. New Orleans JCC campers kicked off summer 2018 by spreading kindness at the second annual Kindness March, held June 7 at the Uptown JCC. Famed chef Alon Shaya and his wife Emily, along with the New Creations Brass Band, led the march around the JCC’s historic building on St. Charles Avenue....
It was "A Sweet Celebration in Song" on May 24 as the JCC dedicated its new $9 million dollar expansion. Featuring a performance by Azi Schwartz, the internationally recognized cantor from the Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City, the event brought the community together to celebrate the new addition to the Uptown JCC and recognized and honored the lead donors who made the expansion possible....
