CURRENT OPENINGS:

MINI CAMP COUNSELORS - UPTOWN

Mini Camp Counselors must be at least 18 years of age with at least 2 years of experience working with young children.  Primary responsibilities include:  assisting co-counselors with daily activities and conflict management, paying close attention to camper dynamics, adding to mini camp morale and spirit, and reporting all incidents and important observations to the Director.  Mini Camp Counselors also act as mentors by setting a positive and proactive example.  Applicants are expected to engage in specialist activities, encourage camper participation in activities, and actively engage with campers throughout the day. PERSONAL TRAINERS - UPTOWN

The New Orleans JCC is seeking a professional personal trainer to work either full or part-time at the Uptown location. Our newly renovated, expanded fitness center lends never-ending opportunities for self-motivated fitness professionals. The JCC will accept the following ACE, ACSM, AFAA, and NASM certifications. Personal trainers must also have a valid and current CPR certification. No online certifications will be accepted. Licensed Massage Therapist - Uptown and Metairie

The New Orleans Jewish Community Centers are in need of a part-time Licensed Massage Therapist with weekend and daytime availability. This person must be organized and ready to work. The JCC will get you the clients if you are willing to work and have open availability. This is a well established, family friendly environment that needs a professional to join our team. Group Exercise Instructors - Uptown

The New Orleans JCC - Uptown seeks certified group exercise instructors. Join our team and be a part of our expansive group exercise schedule with over 55 classes per week.  The instructor must be able to design routines, show exercise modifications and motivate class participants.  The instructor must be able to conduct a safe and effective class while meeting the following qualifications: an appropriate group fitness certification by a nationally recognized certification group; current  CPR/AED certification. Instructors currently sought to teach: Mat Pilates, Step, and Sculpt. Pay is based upon experience.

Early Childhood Teacher - UPTOWN

Teacher must provide leadership to maintain the high quality of the JCC's Nursery School, provide excellent care and education for young children, and build strong collaborations with families. Our school operates on a nine month school calendar with the opportunity to work summer camp.
POSITION REQUIREMENT

Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; a minimum of three years experience teaching young children

Must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults.

Essential that he/she have the personality and ability to provide warmth, leadership and stability for program continuity.

Personal Trainers – Metairie

The Goldring-Woldenberg JCC - Metairie seeks certified and experienced personal trainer.

Certified personal trainer hungry to build up personal training clientele needed. Successful candidate must have an outgoing personality, a passion for fitness and the ability to motivate clients.  Acceptable personal training certifications include ACE, AFAA, ACSM, and NASM.  Applicant must have a current personal training certification as well as a current cpr/aed certification.   College degree in a related field is a plus.  Only prompt and reliable persons need to apply.

Fitness Staff - Metairie

The Goldring-Woldenberg JCC - Metairie seeks fitness staff to work in the fitness center. A successful candidate must have an outgoing personality, work experience in a fitness center, and possess good communication and customer service skills. Duties include maintaining equipment, giving fitness orientations, teaching basic exercise and use of fitness equipment. Also, current CPR/AED certification required.
