Cycle for Good to Benefit JCRS

Published Sunday, November 18, 2018

Spinning wheels will complement spinning dreidels as Jewish Community Centers across North America participate in the second annual Cycle for Good movement on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Each JCC will raise money for a charity of their choice, and this year, the New Orleans JCC will raise money for Jewish Children’s Regional Service (JCRS).

Thanks to staggered start times, many participants in Cycle for Good will ride indoor bikes at the same time in Jewish Community Centers across North America.

Our Uptown fitness center will host three Cycle for Good classes on December 9:

8:00 AM - 8:50 AM
Class 1 with Christine

9:00 AM - 9:50 AM
Class 2 with Daliah

10:00 AM - 10:50 AM
Class 3 with Lauren

Each class is 50 minutes long. Come for any of the three, or all three if you're feeling lively. Bikes are first come, first serve. There is no charge for this event, but donations are graciously accepted. You may click here to donate directly to JCRS.

For 162 years, JCRS has served at-risk, dependent and financially challenged Jewish children and families from seven (7) Mid-South states: Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee by providing college scholarships, grants for Jewish summer camp experiences, special needs assistance, and other vital outreach programs that are pivotal in building one’s Jewish identity.
