Nursery School's Purim Spirit Week

Published Friday, March 22, 2019

Purim has come to an end, but we’re still smiling from all the fun of Purim Spirit Week celebrated by nursery school teachers and students. Check out a few highlights from the past week below.

Monday, March 18 - Wear Your Favorite Color Day

All of the colors on the rainbow were on display for Wear Your Favorite Color Day, which kicked off Purim Spirit Week in the JCC Nursery School.

Tuesday, March 19 - Crazy Sock Day

We saw lots of happy feet for Crazy Sock Day as nursery school students marched through our hallways with all kinds of colorful, mismatched, striped, and patterned socks.

Wednesday, March 20 - Crazy Hair Day

Wigs, buns, hair chalk, hair gel, and even Army men! Our nursery school students and teachers went all out for Crazy Hair Day

Thursday, March 21 - Purim Parade

Preservation Hall Brass Band led the nursery school's annual Purim Parade. Parents lined the sidewalks to cheer on students dressed up as Elmo, dinosaurs, superheroes, and more. The parade culminated in the JCC auditorium where we heard the story of Queen Esther and enjoyed hamantaschen.

Friday, March 22 - Black & Gold Day

It may be March Madness, but in nursery school, we always celebrate the New Orleans Saints. Purim Spirit Week wrapped up with Black & Gold Day celebrated by our smallest Who Dats.
