Meet Tevin Marbeth, Fitness Desk Supervisor

Describe yourself in three words.
Goofy. Artistic. Anemophile.

How long have you been with the JCC?
Almost 4 years.

Describe what you do at the JCC.
A little bit of everything with a little love on top. Check members in, sign new members up, sign people up for programs, and just be helpful in general

What do you love most about your job?
Our members. Hands down the wonderful, fun-loving, hilarious, and compassionate people in all of New Orleans.

If you could swap places with one other person at the JCC for a day, who would you pick and why?
Leslie Fischman. So I could break all the rules and demand that everyone dance all day long!

Where did you grow up? 
Lockport, IL

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
I’m probably the most anxious person in the world.

Where do you like to take out-of-town visitors?
Frenchman so we can dance the night away!

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

What is your spirit animal and why?
Jaguar. They’re sleek, stealthy, and just the coolest!


Tell us about someone you admire.
My mothers Sandra and Sharon. They are the best examples of strength and unconditional love that I could ever have in my life.

Where’s your favorite place in the world?
The piney wood hills in Michigan

If you were a crayon, what color would you be?
Forest Green

Who would play you in a movie?

What tops your bucket list?
Winning an Oscar

What is your greatest fear?
Not being able to provide for my family

What is your all-time favorite movie?
The Fifth Element

Dogs or cats?

What is a cause/charity you are passionate about and why?
SOS Children’s Village and any program that helps foster children. I grew up in a foster home and know first hand what it means to receive help, love, and care from compassionate people.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
Buy homes for my mothers, and take care of my family, give to charities, and finally see more of the world and have fun!

My phone is filled with pictures of:
Food, acting jobs, and my cat, and nature.

Who is your dream dinner guest and why?
Denzel Washington. In hopes that even an iota of his brilliance rubs off on me.
