JCC Diaper Drive October 5 - 9

Drop-Off Locations at Leontine St. gate and St. Charles Ave. entrance

As we move into the joyful celebration of Sukkot, the New Orleans JCC is pleased to partner with the Junior League Diaper Bank for a week-long diaper drive to help those who are most vulnerable.

Diaper need has a huge impact, not just on the child, but on the entire family. Did you know:

  • 1 in 3 moms struggle with diaper need
  • Babies need between 6 and 10 diapers per day
  • Diapers cost $100 per month
  • There is no government assistance is available for diapers

Beyond the health benefits of clean diapers, having an adequate supply of diapers allows children to attend daycare, which makes it possible for parents to work.

All sizes of diapers are needed. While wipes and diaper cream must be unopened, we are gladly accepting individual diapers and opened packages along with brand new packages.

By supporting our diaper drive, you will make a difference to hundreds of low-income families in the New Orleans area.

2021 Commemoration and Celebration Events

The global Jewish community will come together in the coming days to commemorate lives lost during the Holocaust, remember fallen Israeli soldiers and victims of terrorism, and celebrate Israel’s independence.

What's Changing at the JCC in Phase 3?

Following the city’s transition to a modified Phase 3, the New Orleans JCC will ease restrictions for fitness center users. We see this forward movement as a small step in getting back to normal; however, it is still our top priority to remain safe.
