Welcome to the first of Rachel’s Israel Today Series. This month, Rachel will begin to introduce Atid Bamidbar, an organization that grapples with the lack of solidarity and sense of belonging among Israel's various “tribes.” Believing that diversity is a source of strength, they showcase populations whose stories are not well known in the Israeli mainstream, and create connections between individuals, groups, organizations, and municipalities in the Negev and beyond.
In particular, we will focus on their work with Negev Bedouin women and their efforts at teaching them Hebrew so these women can be more independent and able to access services available to them. Bring your lunch; desserts and coffee will be served. The cost of this program is $10 which will be donated directly to Atid Bamidbar.
$10 for members and non-members
All proceeds will go directly to Atid Bamidbar.
