Reformer Pilates uses resistance and your body's weight to increase overall strength, lengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and improve coordination and balance. This method of conditioning promotes better posture and frequently offers relief from pain caused by physical imbalances. While offering similar benefits as mat Pilates, the Reformer is equipped with cables, springs, and a sliding carriage that allow you to progress through various levels of difficulty more easily and perform a greater variety of exercises.
Our instructors are highly certified and experience to safely work with injuries. All skill levels are welcome. Available at the Uptown JCC only

Focusing on core development and total body control, Multi-level Reformer Pilates uses a challenging variety of slow, controlled exercises and stretches to strengthen, lengthen and tone your entire body. Appropriate for beginners and intermediate students of all ages and fitness levels, this small group class offers individual attention balanced with the benefits of a group setting. Instructors will provide options to modify the movements, making them more or less challenging depending upon each client's goals and experience level.
