JCC Dolphins Swim Team

The JCC Dolphins Swim team is a great introduction to competitive swimming. It is open to JCC members who are between the ages of 5 and 18, who can swim 25 yards, independently. The team competes in the Greater New Orleans Country Club League. Members of the team build strength and endurance in this program. The swimmers learn all four strokes: Freestyle, Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke in addition to flip turns and starts. Good sportsmanship and the value of working cooperatively as a member of a team are important components.

Update on 2021 Swim Team

Dear Swim Team Parents,
Because of uncertainties surrounding the status of competition in the GNOCCSL this year, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the swim team for one more summer. We are disappointed and know you are as well, but we feel it's the best decision at this point for our swimmers, parents, and coaching staff.
The JCC anticipates resuming the team in May of 2022. We are tentatively discussing offering stroke clinics this June. I will keep you posted on JCC swimming activities and programming as we get closer to summer.
We hope to see you all at the pool when it opens in May. Until then, be well and stay safe!
