JCC Dolphins Swim Team

The JCC Dolphins Swim team is a great introduction to competitive swimming. It is open to JCC members who are between the ages of 5 and 18, who can swim 25 yards, independently. The team competes in the Greater New Orleans Country Club League. Members of the team build strength and endurance in this program. The swimmers learn all four strokes: Freestyle, Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke in addition to flip turns and starts. Good sportsmanship and the value of working cooperatively as a member of a team are important components.

Update on 2020 Swim Team

Dear Swim Team Parents,

Hi, I hope you are doing well. I am writing to give you an update on the Dolphin swim team.

Due to the Covid-19 virus and regulations from the CDC, the JCC will not be participating in the GNOCCSL league this year. This was a very difficult decision to make but we feel it's best for the safety and well being of our swimmers, parents, and coaching staff. The JCC anticipates resuming the team in May of 2021. I will keep you posted on other JCC swimming activities and programming as the situation progresses.

Until then, swim hard and stay safe!
