Laughing Buddha Nursery is a farmer-owned local grocery. At this presentation, co-owner Kate Estrade will describe the practices they use on the farm, using rotational grazing methods to build topsoil soil and wildlife habitat, allowing them to grow more nutrient dense food. She will also explain how they sequester carbon back into the soil and give the livestock a humane and species-appropriate life outdoors. Kate will share how Laughing Buddha Nursery is working with other farmers and producers to provide more opportunities for New Orleans consumers to buy local.
