

The Ella Project: Providing Artists with Access to Justice
The Ella Project recently celebrated its 20th year of working within the New Orleans cultural community to ensure artists have access to justice through pro bono legal, business and advocacy services. Ashlye Keaton is an attorney, adjunct professor at Tulane Law School. and Co-Founder of The Ella Project. She will present an overview of The Ella Project and discuss some of its milestones over the years of working with thousands of New Orleans artists and culture bearers. Ashlye will also provide some interesting anecdotes highlighting her legal services with individual clients, along with the organization's business workshops and advocacy work to promote a thriving creative industry and cultural ecosystem in New Orleans.
