INTERGENERATIONAL KRISTALLNACHT PROGRAM
GIRL No. 60427
Tel Aviv, Summer 1998. During summer vacation, Reut discovers and reads her grandmother’s secret Holocaust diary. Her grandmother’s story resonates with Reut’s vivid imagination, transforming what began as a fun week with her grandparents into something entirely different.
In this stunning combination of live action and animation, director Reut takes us back to her own childhood experience of discovering her grandmother’s hidden diary one summer.
Following the film, second- and third-generation Holocaust survivors will join teenagers (ages 12 and up) for a discussion exploring what it was like to grow up with the legacy of the Holocaust and experience the indirect trauma passed down through their families.
