Using images and audio visuals George Dansker will describe how the American Theater reacted to the Holocaust both in the years prior to the start of World War II, during the War, and in subsequent generations. The lecture will conclude in the present day describing the renewed interest in the subject as indicated by such recent works as "Indecent", "Leopoldstadt" and the soon to be presented "Marcel on the Train" about the famed mime Marcel Marceau and his work in rescuing Jewish children. Noteworthy classical music compositions and motion pictures will also be part of the discussion.
