Our memory programming offers a friendly, approachable environment to concentrate on yourself. Certain programs are facilitated by experts, including a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Where a caregiver is involved, we offer a brief respite for you and the opportunity to join a monthly support group. For more information or to register, contact Rachel Ruth.
JCC membership is not required to participate in Adult Memory Programs.
The Alzheimer’s Care & Enrichment Program offers respite for caregivers while their loved ones meet with qualified staff in a safe, familiar environment. For participants, ACE provides a sense of community, sustaining their connections with others, while engaging them in a host of activities, including exercise, art, music, meal preparation, and weekly visits with the JCC nursery schoolers. Caregivers can look to the JCC for expert answers and for referrals to community resources. We also invite caregivers to join monthly support groups. Download brochure. Lunch is Included.

Mind Matters is designed to support memory and brain health in individuals who are 50 years and older. The course incorporates memory techniques and cognitive stimulation, reading and discussion, physical exercise, social engagement and mindfulness. Together we keep up to date on the latest research into how we keep our brains healthy into our later years, and we support each other as we put these findings into practice in class.
Scholarships are available based on need.

The Alzheimer's Care & Enrichment (ACE) program would not be possible without the support of volunteers. The program meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Volunteers work one day, every other week. Experience is not necessary; however, a commitment of two sessions per month is requested. For more information, please contact Rachel Ruth at (504) 897-0143 or rachel@nojcc.org.
